Default Drivetrain problem... 91 Si hatch

Im having a problem with my drivetrain and i wanted to get some advice from some one before i turn it over to a shop.

I bought the car from a guy who had a supercharged motor in it and said he had to put in a "stage 2" clutch to better handle the motor, when i bought it he replaced a stock engine in the car but left the tranny/ clutch as is. I havent had any problems with the clutch outside the tension being high and a little pedal squeak when i relaease it.

i recently heard a "clank" and then nothing. When you select a gear and release the clutch, it goes nowhere. you can freely select gears, 1st, 2nd, neutral, revrse, etc. but when the clutch is released it doesnt seem to engage.. the pedal acted completely normal & you could start the car...i thought maybe the clutch cable had stretched/snapped and replaced it but no luck, same problem.. the care has been cared for well and i havent had any other problems with it so im not sure its been neglected.

a few friends say maybe the clutch is wasted and a few are thinking my shift linkage is messed up.. any way its nothing i can fix but i wanted to get some ideas

oh, on a side note... the car was repainted and all the stickers with the engine info are magically gone, is a Stock 91 civic Si 1.5 liter, or 1.6 ?

any thoughts are aprreciated...

Kinda sounds like the tranny took a dump, no worries though, as d-series parts are so easily available and cheap. Stock 91Si is 1.6L

So im rocking a D- series motor/Tranny? sorry, im new to all the engine codes..

thanks, it goes in the shop tomorrow.. luckily im 2 payments away from owning it!! once all thats done i plan to clean it up and upgrade a few things.

Its interesting , everytime i go to do maintenance to it, i discover some other modification, i didnt know but i after buying some new wheels from a buddy, i discovered i have 4 way disc w crossdrilled rotor & Ground control adjustable suspension. once its all paid for im going to put on a new exhaust, maybe skunk 2. i dont want to haul *** or race everybody, just pick up some extra power..

thanks for the reply..
