Default Clutch Problems cant figure out the problem

I have a 95 Gsr motor in my hatch and i just changed my clutch and something is wrong. It drives fine when i drive normal, but when i mash it the clutch starts acting weird. When i drive hard the gears go into gear only when the clutch pedal is pressed half way and it wont go into gear if i press the clutch in all the way. I though it was air in my clutch lines so i bled the clutch slave cylinder and it still acting the same way. As soon as i mash it the car wont go into gear unless i press the clutch in halfway, but wont go into gear when pressed all the way down. This will happen until i let my my car sit for a while and cool down. Help me out guys i dont know what the problem can be. I installed the clutch but didnt get a chance to resurface the flywheel can that be the problem? if not then what is it? thanx

Is there any way to adjust your engage/disengage zone like on cable clutch cars?

im not sure if there is a way to adjust the engaging point. I think i might have to play around witht the clutch slave cylinder, but im not sure. Does anyone else know if you can adjust teh slave cylinder to adjust clutch engaging point?

I don't think resurfacing the flywheel has anything to do with this.

You can adjust the pedal height by adjusting the length of the MC pushrod, at the pedal. No adjustment at the slave. But that will also move the engagement point when you're driving normally.

I'm not sure why it would be different... Maybe pivot bushings getting sloppy at the pedal? What exactly do you do differently? Press the pedal faster? farther? or just shift at higher rpm? Maybe you try to work the clutch pedal so fast that your foot puts sideways force on it in addition to the normal force?

Lemme see if I understand the problem.

1. The car shifted just fine and clutch action was just fine before you changed out the clutch. Is that correct?
2. Immediately after changing out the clutch you started having problems.
3. What clutch and pressure plate did you swap in? The same kind that was swapped out?
4. If you "mash it" (floor the accelerator) you can only shift if you push the clutch in halfway? If you "mash it" and push the clutch in all the way, it won't go into gear. Correct?
5. When the car sits and cools down, what changes?

A. failing to resurface the flywhee would not have the impact you are seeing above.
B. check the action of the pivot arm, engine cold, engine warm. Have someone press the clutch 1/2 way and see if you can measure the distance the pivot arm on the tranny moves. The push the clutch in all the way and measure again. Do this cold motor and hot. Engine hot and cold should see the same behavior.
C. I can't think of any reason to see this anomoly, unless you have the incorrect clutch for the car and it's overcentering for some reason.
