Default driver's side axle - how to remove?

me and a friend are stuck on what to do to take out the drivers side axle. the pass. side came out, with some prying but the driver's side axle has an intermediate shaft connected to it. how do you take out the driver's axle, without taking out the intermediate shaft. even if we took out the intermediate shaft also, there is no room to pry the axle with, like on the pass. side. any help would be great. oh and btw this is for a 92 prelude (h23)

You can take out the bolts on the intermediate shaft..and it should slide out alot easier given the fork piece that holds the strut on the lower control arm is off makes things easier to
i know exactly where your coming from the Snap ring on the driver side axel is tough to separate from the half shaft

cool, so theres a snap ring that holds the driver's axle to the half shaft? we might try your idea and take out the half shaft along with the driver's axle.

All you need to do is take a rubber mallet and hammer it a bit, the snap ring is what is causing it to be difficult. But just hammer it a bit and pull it out. I have pulled my axels and others like this many times, you dont have to remove anything else, just be patient. Just trying to save you an extra step
