Default Driver's with P28 ECU's

How often should I get my programmed P28 ecu checked and calibrated ? The reason why I ask this is because recently, I ran over some railroad tracks that really jolted my car; and I noticed that the ECU was acting up. You know, miss firing and hesitation when I pressed the gas pedal. But when I turned off the car, everything was fine and smooth. Today, it did the same thing but it happened when I was powershifting getting onto the freeway. has anybody experienced this before ? Thx in advance guys.

You might have some loose connections or maybe even a loose battery. Does your car have the stock battery tie-down?

check all the electrical . ie distributor for loose wires or plugs first then if all is fine in the engine bay. if that fails, try switching to another ecu see if the problem occurs
