Do u need to remove the axles from hub to remove engine?
Long story short, Im swapping a D15B VTEC into my CRX... I started on it today... Well in the process of removing the driver's side wheel one of the lug nuts broke off... So I was wondering if it was possible, to just remove the axles from the tranny and leave the hub side in there? I thought I saw a few pics where guys have the axles hanging there kinda like that... Was just wondering if it was possible... And I kinda already know the answer, but how easy is it gonna be to get that damn lug nut off? Anybody have any ideas? Its a Gorilla locking nut, and the butt end of it broke, so I cant get any tools in there around it...
Thanks in advance....
Thanks in advance....
yeah you should be able to do that. Swing the spindle/knuckle out to pull the CV joint out of the tranny and then you should be gravy.
