Default d16z6 into eg, do I need to remove the axles from the hub?

What is the easiest way to put a z6 in my dx hatch (new engine and tranny, but same axles)

can you drop the axles while still being attached to the wheel?

hehe, sounds like you have a learning experience ahead of you. You can't pull the tranny or engine with the axles still attached, and you can't remove the axles with the wheel still on. Theres a huge axle nut you gotta take off dead center of the wheel studs. It'll be a really easy swap though. Will mount drop straight in and be pretty much plug n play. Your gonna have to extend the wire from the shock tower for vtec.

yeah i know about the axle hub nut, I was just hoping by loosing the suspension I could slide the axle out of the tranny.

I just hate dealing with those stubborn nuts I dont have an impact
