Default distributor problem

So I got a code 4 on my 96 Honda civic hatch obd2 to obd1. The code is ckp which is located in the distributor so I got a new one. Put it on and went to start it and nothing so I checked a few things out and thought let me look at the distributor again. I pulled it and the shaft that goes in the motor the 2 prongs where cut off. Wharf causes that to happen. Is there something wrong with my motor or is it cause the new one had aluminum prongs.

I got one prong out of the motor and one went further down. What would be the easiest way to remove that one.
