Default Direct experience comparison : EMS vs. Hondata

Does anyone have direct experience with both on their turbo Honda and can comment on the true usability of the two. The EMS is looking better and better to me on a bunch of levels so i was curious. If no direct comparable experience, does anyone actually own and/or self tune w/ an EMS (for a turbo honda) that could at least comment on the EMS's user friendliness? THX.

i have used both.. i started with the ems so im a bit biased.. given the choice id take the ems. i feel i am better with it and can do a better job tuning a car with the ems. somepeople are the exact oppsite.

if you are tuning the car yourself i believe the ems i better by far.. there are less things to buy.. no rom emulator, no burner, only 2 pieces of software, one cable.. etc, etc...

if you take your time and READ all the info on the aem forums and in the manuals the ems isnt that hard to learn...

autotuning is a waste of time.... i can get a car dialed in in about 1/4th the time it would take to get it right using automapping

IM chad, underpressure02. i'm almost positive when we were at Xotic for the Mase tuning session, he tuned w/ both the hondata, and then swapped it out for the EMS, so if something went wrong w/ one of them he could just swap the other back in til the problem was fixed.

i'm just going to get the EMS myself...its far superior in what it can do.
