AEM is not easy to self tune. How adventurous are you?

Ive tuned with Uberdata once before. It wasnt too bad, and my friend self tuned with EMS. I just like knowing that there are EMS tuners in the area if needed, and Ive never seen the Hondata or how it is set up.

It will take you a bit to learn AEMPro. I would try to find a tuner in your area. And I cant answer which is better. Something is better for different setups and goals

having played with both systems, Hondata is soo much easier to navigate etc. But I cant justify buying an ECU JUST for its simplicity in tuning. Your really comparing apples and oranges with a $700 system and a $1400 system

I am seeking out a system to tune my turbo b18c1 with built internals. I want a system that will tune it that is not too complicated. I would like to run about 16 lbs seeking high 11's low 12's
I will be running wiseco, eagle rods, crower springs retainers and cams, with custom turbo kit(turbonetics t3/t04b)

Neptune RTP, Crome, Hondata s300, AEM ems

They will all work for your application. Look into the features of each one, find out what local tuners tune what etc...

i personally think the AEM is very easy to use. It has instructions built into the damn thing... and theres a forum just for it on their website... It is a lot more advanced then hondata...

And most people don't need 1/2 of what is has to offer. To each his own, but Hondata will get it done for most of the setups on here.

Find out what your tuner wants to use and go with that system. Or if you are learning it yourself, I have found the Hondata system to be more user friendly.
