Dimmer Replacement ~ Equivilant Switch?
Im relocating my dimmer for my dash lights and need to put in a replacement (I want to be able to dim lights). The factory dimmer has a ground coming to it, positive 12 volts, and the output from the dimmer which feeds the interior lights.
I was thinking of using a potentiometer and then only having the +12 volts go in and the ~12-0 volts go out.
Was wondering if anyone knew and specific type of Pots, Trimmers, or Switches that would allow me to have dimming control over my guages from a 0-12 volt application. Best scenerio would be a click off, and then 0-12.
Thanks
