Default difference between cable and hydrolic trannies?

i know this has to be in the search key somewhere but i cant find it. mabie im not typing in the right stuff.

Basically the same, but not interchangable for most cases.

so why does everyone reccomend the hydro over the cable? does it perform better??

depends what car you have. most 94 and up integras are hydro, 92 + civics/delsols are hydro. theres no difference in a cable or hydro b16 tranny aside from the way the clutch is engaged.

internals are different between hydro/cable; unless you have a 92/93 ys1 wich was cable but had hydro internals on it.
synchros are different.
most cable tranny's had a smaller spline than hydro's.
thats all i can think of, but there is more.
