Default Difference between B16a1 and B16a2 heads?

I already did a search and can't seem to find an answer. I am about to buy a b16a1 head but I want to know what the difference is between that and the newer b16a2?

I will be replacing the valve springs and retainers so the head being 13 years old won't be a problem. However I heard that the newer b16 head has better flow? is this true? A port and polish job will fix that up?

Also I heard that the B16a1 camshafts have a less agressive lift compared to the b16a2, is this true?

Links would be nice too! thanks.

a port and polish will more than do the job for you.

The main difference is the cams.

I'm pretty sure the B16A2 has a larger throttle body(2mm larger) than the first generation B16A.
