Is a DC 4-1 Header worth buying for the ITR?
I have an 01 ITR and I was wondering if a DC 4-1 header would be worth buying. I plan on getting JUN type 3 cams, skunk2 valve springs, skunk2 retainers, JUN ECU and a Apexi N1 exhaust. I notice everyone buying JDM headers but they are not carb legal right? So should I buy the DC 4-1 or not?
Unless ur Cali I wouldnt worry about carb #s. I have a DC 4-1 on my LSVtec and it gains power on top end. Noticeable low end loss but overall Im pretty satisfied.
I have 4-1 header from DC. They're alright, same specs as a JDM. But if your wanting bottom end I don't suggest it. My ITR ran shitty times at the track because of no torque to get out of the whole. My stock ITR ran better 60 ft but my itr now runs faster time slips. It's all depending on your personal prefference. I know people who go through header after header until they find what they like.
