what engine? What Header? Could you possibly give some specifics?

B16s are biased towards top end power, I'd go 4-1... In fact I am, as soon as I can afford it I'm getting a DC Sports 4-1 header.

GSR and ITR are more biased towards mid range torque and then top end power, I'd go 4-2-1. Any D series, I have no idea.

That's too general of a question. A DC Sports JDM 4-1 will yield better gains that the standard DC 4-2-1, but an SMSP 4-2-1 will produce superior power to the JDM 4-1. So the answer to your question is basically "it depends". You should make your selection based upon a particular header's characteristics, rather than just basing it on the tubing configuration. There is a tremendous amount of header info to be found by searching the site, but to begin with, what type of engine is it for, what are your goals for the setup, and what is your budget?

most of the time 4-1 gives you a better increase than 4-2-1

What made you limit your selection to DC Sports?

For me it was the price per performance. I hear the DC sports will out perform the jdm itr, but the JDM DC sports will out perform both of htem.

I found the DC Sports 4-1 for 270 dollars, but I haven't searched ebay yet either.
