Default CTR piston questions.

ok, im thinking about getting some CTR pistons for my 00 si.
what kind of compression #s can i see? does it bolt rite in or if not what kind of modification is needed to make it work? is it a hard to make it fit?
and how much would be it cost to make it fit?

a) your compression will be at around 11.1 with standard bore CTR pistons in your b16a.

b) yes, CTR pistons fit in your b16a, although you need to get your b16a rods slightly modified (at the wrist pin area), in order for the ctr piston to fit on the b16a rod. You'll need to have each side of the rod( at the wrist pin area) milled approx. 1mm on each side, then the ctr piston will fit on the rod no problem. here's small diagram o' mine...


c) Cost of installing these pistons and having the rod-mod depends on where you take it to get done. I suggest a trustworthy Honda tuning place, that knows how to install pistons. You might want to call some local machine shops or something.
