I am planning on getting a vafc(new or old model) and having it tuned by a local shop. I was wondering wether to get CTR/ITR cams and then get it tuned. I know if I have the money than I might as well, right? But should I get both intake and exhaust and if not, then what would be teh side affects if I were to get just one?

 

Go for the ITR cams. They are cheaper than the CTR and both exhaust, and intake cams i believe are the same.

 

I know this is a broad question with many possibilities, but is there a big difference in gsr vs. itr cams and does vtec actually seem louder? Just wondering about the volumn because my friends si seems to "pop" into vtec and seems a bit louder too, but I have been known to hear things...lol

ctr and itr intake cams are not the same in earlier years.97-98 .....i believe 00 (OR) later are the same.
