crower rods w/ctr piston

i have a set of crower rods sitting around and was wondering if i can put ctr pistons on them. the reason im asking because someone one told me if i have aftermarket rods i have to use aftermarket piston. is this tru.

is mostly tru, you can use ctr pistons if you machine the pistons to accept floating pins
