41 Primary oxygen sensor heater

Just thought I would post this.

It seems to hate your wiring.

OK.................I am the one currently working on the car...........I have tested all the wires from the distributor back and they are all within spec. The only one I am concerend about is the yellow green coming out of the distributor...........I did a continuity test on this and it read 1600 on the multimeter. I did a continuity test on my car on the same wire and it only read 621 on the multimeter........thats a difference of a 1000. Does anybody know what the yellow green Ignition Input Signal wire does...........like how is it pertinent to this whole CKP situation? I am not sure why it runs the way it does when the sensor is within spec..........any ideas are welcome

The ECU tells the igniter when to ground the coil through the ignition input signal wire. Measureing the resistance of the igniter is pretty much useless. Is it still throwing any codes?

weird, my JDM 95 b16a2 didn't have one. I was even running a 99 JDM ITR ecu. I'm pretty sure the jdm engines don't have it. my 00 JDM ITR doesn't either........

**talking about CPS**

It's now just throwing the first code we started out with.

4 long blinks, what code is this?

Are you sure it is just 4 long blinks? That would be code 40 and there is no code 40.

Its four short blinks code for Crank Position Sensor. I am checking the voltage readings off of the 3 different sensors inside the distributor right now...............as somebody else had mentioned in a private message.......maybe the ecu isn't getting a good "waveform" to trigger off of.
