Crankshaft Position Sensor?
well on a bseries motor its on the lower timeing belt pulley. the one that is connected to the crank. The pulley has teeth on the outside and a little magnetic pickup is bolted to the oil pump. Im sure its on the same place on a d series.

on D-series, it is in the distributor

actually the sensor thats on the front of the crank is a crank fluctuation sensor that tells the computer there is detonation on a particular cylinder... the actual crank sensor is inside the distributor.
