crank pulley bolt WON'T BUDGE
i've got my motor out and pretty much dissasembled so i can get her sent out to get sleeved and i cant get the crank pulley bolt off, suggestions please
Well, it makes it a lot easier once the motor is out like you said. Have a buddy stand on the block. Jam a screwdriver into one of the holes of the flywheel, and get the biggest, baddest breaker bar you can find.
Then go at the ****.
Good luck. A powerful (at least 500ft-lbs impact gun would be helpful here
)

get a big air gun. if you cant then drill a hole in it and put an extension through it to hold it still
I have a 3/4" air gun that has never failed to pull one off.

Well considering all the things you all have mention, ive tried them all doing my friends prelude, and your big badass breaker bar consisted of a matco breaker bar with a 6ft pipe extension, did that work nope! My suggestion, go to honda or moroso and pick up the crank pulley tool for about 50 bucks! Its dam well worth it than messing up your crank...like if seen my other friends do. BTW go ahead and drill thru your cp and unbalance it, thats always a great idea. Not to hate in all, but break the flywheel tooth and might as well unbalance that too...sry guys but somethings just require the right tools and this is one of those things...Ya and one more thing a 1 inch are gun running on a huge **** compressor could take my freinds off...Overtime that 130ft lbs = hell...The solution = the tool and a breaker bar + 6ft pipe extension + 3 friends to break it loose...thats the answer good luck and have fun getting it off we all did!

[QUOTE]i called honda up the other day to get a price on it and they said they dont use a special tool or sell one. i swear i've seen a picture of the tool before tho...i hate the parts counter, those ******** dont know what they are doing[QUOTE]
They are so stupid here too..One time i went to honda and i asked for an oil filter for my civic and the ******* guy looked up the part number in his computer...
Stupid ***
You can get a crank pulley puller at Napa or autozone..you can basically get it at any car parts store...
Or you can do what i do.....
Step 1 take the black plate off the tranny
Step 2 take a pry bar and jam it in where the fly wheel teeth are.
Step 3 Get a Breaker bar and a long steal tube and place it over the breaker bar and pull..
Your going to need 700ft of tq to get that thing off..
Thats what it calulates out to be with a Breaker bar and a 4FT steal tube...
