Default correct way to adjust for idle?

allright been having some issues with low idle under 500rpm most of the time weird thing is car does not shake or dies..yet.... allready found alot of threads on this but not consistant on how to adjust it.. timing is checked and correct.. iacv is cleaned.. no vaccume leaks..

can someone tell me the CORRECT procedure to adjust idle?

is it .....

1. get car to temp
2. turn off and unplug iacv
3. turn car on and adjust idle screw to 750+/-50 rpm
4. turn off car and reset ecu
5. plug iacv and start car

is this the correct way to do this?

For USDM OBD-1 B18C1, you adjust for 450 to 500 rpm with the IACV unplugged. I wonder if JDM is that much different?

Then you plug in IACV, reset ECU, start car with no throttle, let it idle for ??? minutes.

I've never had much luck making it work on an OBD2 throttle body...

Is Car OBD2 Compliant? If so the only way to set the idle is with a HDS or go through the prescribed idle relearn program. It's not hard, Talk to your nearest Honda Pro for the correct info.

as Jim sayd with the iacv unplugged you adjust the idle to 450-500; then whn you plug it back the iacv will adjust to the preset idle (stock 700-800). Remember the iacv can only add air not take away
