Some year/models have 2 fan switches & a timer module. Some have only one fan switch at the thermostat. Unplug that fan switch, jumper the wire with a paperclip. Key on, that should make the fan run. Or maybe not, depending on what model or year...

isn't the fan for the AC a separate fan in some cars? my last car had a 2nd fan for the A/C...my car would start to overheat, so I would turn the AC on, and then fan for the a/c would blow inside the engine bay and cool down my car.

Some years they're both connected to come on together, some years separately. That's why it's nice to know what car you're talking about.

In cars with a single fan,
the fan will turn on when the A/C is turned on. Therefore the fan is operating correctly.
The temperature switch for the fan is most likely the culprit.
I suggest replacing the switch.
Another problem if the temp switch is in the radiator, could be the thermostat not opening and the radiator temp always being low (because the thermostat won't let the water from the engine into the radiator), therefore the switch would not tell the fan to turn on.
