I say it doesn't matter because I control it via Neptune anyway. Mine is set to kick on @ 188. Ramhorn manifolds keep the engine bay hot.

mine does between 192-197 one fan kicks on and if I want..I have another switch that can turn my second fan manually when I want to..I use an electric water pump made my mezierr or however you spell that..and that is always on as long as my ignition is on or motor is on..

damn neptune can do that? does s300 do that? save me some money from buying a mugen fan switch.

also, why is it that the fan only comes on for like 5 or so seconds and shuts off but the temp is still hot enough for the fan switch to still kick it on? ive never understood that. all stock or modified hondas ive seen do this.

Yes, neptune does it and the S300 does not.

If it is still hot, it should keep running. Mine will run forever in the summer and literally never stop until the car is turned off.

My stock civic only comes on for a minute then shuts off.

yea I know...mine is also on when the ignition is on/with motor off..so if I go to like a race..and im waiting in line or something..standing still...i can turn off my motor...and have my water pump still flowing to cool it a little bit more..
