Default Compression too high for N20?

I know this topic is debated all the time, but I have never seen a positive answer... here is my setup, B18C5 block, Si head, spoon headgasket, and various other parts that don't make much of a difference like Mugen thermostat. Compression is 11.5 (or so they said). I'm just wondering if that is too high to run nitrous on. I ran nitrous on the previous motor I had in the car with no problems, and I know I need colder plugs (bkr7e's) and maybe retard the timing a little... suggestions???

in my opinion that is a little too high to squeeze, unless you are using race gas.
we will only run a bottle on a 10.5 cr or lower motor. besides it sounds like you have a pretty decent allmotor setup.

Honestly, i think if you retard the timing a little more, it'll be safe for n20...My friend has a ls/vtec with like 11:3 compression and he spray 60 shot nos all the time w/o any problem. He just retard his timing back down to 12 degree and pump 93 octane gas...
