Default compression test

im doing a compression test on my d16z6 tonight what psi should it put out ................................and also tell me if im doinng it right i take out the spark plug and screw in the testor and turn the motor over for about 6sec and the waalaa you have you reading

Engine should be warmed up. Take out all 4 plugs, unplug your main relay or FI fuse or something so the injectors don't spray gasoline.

Hold the throttle wide open & crank until the gauge stops increasing.

What's important is how much the pressures vary from one to another. Someone's bound to post typical #s for d16, but remember that different gauges can read higher or lower. If you really want to compare #s with someone else, you have to use the same gauge & make sure your starters both turn the same RPM.

thanks for all the helpfull info i did the compression test with no problem all 4 cylinders hit 180psi
