compression test
I don't understand your question really, but a compression test is used to test the condition of the rings mainly, and the leakdown test is to test the integrity of the head.

Sorry, I was looking to see if my rings were tosted or what. My motor was built but due to some problems I think the new rings I put are no good. Are you sure about the leak down? I was told you can tell if your rings are gone that wayalso.
i know to test the oil rings out you put two table spoons of oil in the cylinders and do a compression test, if the numbers increase significantly, then your oil rings are no good. but if they stay the same then you are ok. good luck, gloria
