Default Compression Ratio on pump gas

I know this has been asked before but I didn't find it in the search. Sorry. I am thinking about either a ls/vtec or an h22 all motor fully built. What is the highest compression ratio I can do on 92 octane? I want it to be streetable.

it depends on the head design, timing, fuel delivery and many other factors.

IMHO from what I have seen 12:1 is the max limit
