hello I have an eg with an h22a. While driving yesterday I noticed that it will hesitate between 4k-5k rpm and wouldn't go past 5k. Later on it was working fine. No codes were thrown then.

Today while driving the car started to hesitate really bad and then cut off while on the freeway, The tach dropped to 0 then went back up. A few minutes later it started back up and threw codes 9 (CYP - cylinder sensor) and 15 (Ignition output signal). I think that code 9 was thrown because the engine probably got flooded while cruising and the car being off, I think. But what will cause code 15?

Any help would be appreciated. This problem occurred after I took the bumper off and started messing with the driver-side light while it was raining. I hope to get this resolved, I hate when a car stalls.

Sounds like your distributer is probably messed up. CYP is in the distributer. Try a known good one and see if it still throws the code/hesitate.

 

Thanks for the quick responce. Is do those 2 codes go hand in hand with a bad distributor? I have no spare so I may have to visit autozone. What kind does the 94 h22a have?
