Default Code 43 help

'95 Integra GSR with OBD1 LS swap

I received a code 43 after I removed my cruise control (Momo steering wheel) but I think that was just a coincidence. 2 weeks prior, I installed a Walbro pump which brought the fuel pressure to about 50psi. I figured that with 2 weeks at running rich the 02 sensor died.

I've swapped in 1 set of injectors, 2 different 02 sensors (are the primary one different from the secondary (the buyer told me it was a primary though)? I've tried 3 fuel pressure regulators (one I drilled to bring the fp to 40psi).

What else can I try? The fuel pump is giving me 40psi, the fpr is good, I disconnected each fuel injector and the idle would change for each... The CEL won't come on until about 5-15 minutes of driving. If I'm idling, the rpm would jump to 1k rpm when the CEL turns on.

Thanks for all help.

Check for a break in the O2 sensor signal wire(s).
Thats not the only thing I think it could be,
but from experience, code 43 was caused by my O2 sensor signal wire grounding against something...

spec and quick...

If you find a solution. pls post the remedy. My racecar is throughing the same code after an on-track overheat. I pegged the needle due to a rock-busted radiator and was wondering where to look...

The engine runs fine and comes up to temp with the new rad just fine. After reaching operating temperature, the check engine light comes on... code 43.

Thanks for any suggestions. Could it be a feul filter or MAP sensor problem?

EDIT: sorry... 90 ITA Integra racer B181a

43
honda should have narrowed down that code cuz the problem could be anything fuel related. i had the same code and i replaced fuel pump, injectors, fuel filter no effect , i had a good distributor laying around so i replaced it and the problem went away
good luck

he's right, code 43 is not descriptive enough
its just Fuel System
it can mean anything along these lines..

Main relay
Fuel pump
Fuel regulator
Fuel filter
Injectors
O2 sensor
and wtf.. Distributor? thats a first..

I haven't changed the fuel filter, would that cause the code to trip? I'm seriously hating this car at the moment.

You should change the fuel filter it if you haven't yet. I would do right away if I didnt know the maintenance history of the car.

I once bought the aftermarket one from Autozone, and within a year when I was having the same problem, I went to change the it..
It was filled to the top with dirty gas (it was a brown/orange goo; looked like spoiled orange juice). That was all with Chevron 93 octane only! Gas is probably dirtier these days.
The Autozone filter didn't seem to have the capacity to filter for more than a year, and it was probably giving out some of that dirty gas. IMO, the OEM one is the only way to go.

I get CEL 43 after I installed a Walbro pump as well, I changed the fuel filter last year I guess I d't need to change it again, have try 3 difference o2 sensor...
How can I check the condition of the injectors?? I've check they're are similar ohm readings.

You guys might want to contact Brad. I believe he had this problem, well along these lines anyways.... If all else fails you can just start with the old guess and check, I would put in the stock fuel pump and see if it still throws the code.
