CEL Code 43 Need help!!

CEL Code 43 Need help!!
I got a CEL code 43... i know it has to do with the fuel system....fuel pump, injectors, etc.
I was wondering could the fuel filter cause it to throw the code? The car runs fine, even on WOT. It seems to only come on in the mornings after about 5mins of driving, otherwise it doesn't come on.

the reason it comes on after a couple min. of driving is because the electronics are warming up... I'm not sure why its coming on though... sorry...

O2 sensor feedback is whats responisble for setting this code. The O2 sensor has a 'window of authority' over the injector PW of about +/-20% which is termed Long Term and Short Term Fuel Trim. This helps to account for things like clogged fuel filters and dirty injectors.
The kicker is: Which is it - The O2 sensor taking a **** or the a/f mix you have is just that far off for what the ECU likes to normally see? An old and contaminated O2 sensor will not always throw a code either.

Re: CEL Code 43 Need help!! (DC2EGHB)
I had the same problem, code 43 after a few minutes of driving, or it would CEL while cruising btw 60-80 mph, and each time it was always code 43.
I just got Hondata tuned about 3 weeks ago and this problem has persisted. Today my tuner and I went for a highway ride and he had the laptop hooked up and he suggested that the O2 is probably causing it. I came home, installed another O2 sensor, and the problem is gone. So in my case the code 43 was caused by a contaminated O2, it was clogged with black soot.

Yea, a bad o2 sensor is the most common cause of a code 43. Next is a bad vacuum leak, usually the intake manifold gasket. (Mostly on Accords.) A fuel pump getting low on presure can also do it. I've yet to see a fuel filter clogged up bad enough to cause a problem though.

Re: CEL Code 43 Need help!! (boost psycho)
hey i've had that CEL for some time now...it would come on sometimes after driving for a few mins (3-20 min) at a near constant speed. today i changed my timing belt and installed crower 62402 cams on my turbo'd ls (in a freak'n hail storm with loud *** thunder that made me **** in my pants!) and drove for about 3 hours...shutting it off every now and then to check the engine bay and to my amazement, i didn't get one CEL. before that my car would bog and missfire every now and then and my EGT would be all over the place...but after fixing my timing everything is all good now. so try checking your timing to see if it could be that.

i had the same problem and a bad o2 was the reason. i think in my case its a bad a/f ratio thouh. this was the second o2 sensor i had to replace in one year. put in a new o2 and the code should go away.

I have the same code. I did a search and found this. for search! I am sure my timing is off. When I set the timing ,do I jump the same wires that I did for checking the cel?
Found this doing a search for timing. Just want to be sure.
