CEL 43, FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM Help!!!!!!
hey guys, i need help. my car throws fuel delivery system cel.
if the car idles for 2 minutes, it sounds like it drops a cylinder, runs real rough and throws cel 43.
i have a turbo eg, greddy piggyback, chipped p28, stock fuel pressure, big fuel pump.
Can a pickup falling off the fuel pump cause this. Or do you think its electrical.

sounds like electrical and something with the injectors judging by how you think its dropping a cylinder (which it probably is).

Code 43 gets thrown when the ECU has to correct more than a certain percentage to get the o2 sensor to fluctuate correctly.
I've had it come on for two reasons. One was a bad o2 sensor. The car was seeing lean conditions from the o2 sensor so it was dumping more fuel than necessary to get to what it thought was stoich.
Second was the fuel map was way too rich and the ecu couldn't correct enough so it threw a code 43. When it came on for me I could just turn the key off and back on real quick and it would clear the code. This may not be the case for you as your car may have a lot worse problems than mine did.

I'm getting the same code, I think mine is due to a loose wire on my o2 sensor. I've just been too lazy to try and fix it.

Code 43 is fuel system to lean or rich, got it when i went b20vtec with stock injectors, i raised the FPR a few psi..and perfect. However, it doesn't tell you weather or not you are lean or rich.

Re: (D@nnY)
I use to get code 43 ll the time, and from time to time Is till do get it. I don't think I got it when I was NA in between turbo setups. My car does not feel like it drops a cylinder, it still seems like it runs fine . . . it does however drop the idle because of the ecu dumping more fuel I believe.
I baught a new o2 sensor and have not yet seena code 43

thanks for the insight, im going to try the o2 sensor first.
