blah, i want to throw up
the other day my car bogged down and my check engine light came on...
I pulled over and turned off the car and looked in in the engine bay and everything looked cool, i cranked the car up after a few minutes of debating and it started up fine. Seemed to drive fine on the way home. Drove fine with no noises until this morning.
Now when I get on the gas just a little bit, (normal acceleration) is sounds like something's knocking something else almost like a flat spot in a tire, how when i accelerate it speeds up too.
Well I just checked the ecu to see what it'd tell me and it said "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep beep beep" - So I ran inside and looked it up...
Code 22 - VTEC System Malfunction
Short or open in VTEC circuit, bad VTEC solenoid valve, Bad VTEC pressure switch.
I'll run it by my guy when I get a chance but I'm almost too paranoid to drive it! Has anyone had any previous experience with this?!? Help!!!

This happened to me before. The wire had pulled out of the bottom of the plug for the VTEC solenoid. All I had to do was plug it back in and the car was very, very happy. I'd check for shorts (or, as in my case, a loose wire) before you start pulling things apart...
