Default Need help with this ECU error code

Hey guys, I need some help. Lately Ive been having a problem with VTEC not kicking in or sputtering through the RPM's. Last night i was driving home and hit vtec a little on the way home and felt a small jolt and then the check engine light came on and now VTEC does not engage at all. I went to Autozone this morning and he plugged a box into the ECU and told me that it said something about the air fuel mixture and threw the error code P1259. We went back into the shop and on the computer the code said something completely different. Not quite sure what it all means but i was wondering if someone could possibly tell by this what my problem was and how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My manual says a code P1259 (22) relates to a VTEC system malfunction (which is your symptom).

Probable causes:
VTEC solenoid valve
open or short in VTEC solenoid
VTEC pressure switch
Open or short in VTEC pressure switch circuit
ECU (ECM)

Just curious, have you checked your oil level?

Yeah that was the first thing i checked... and the oil level seems just fine... its like a millimeter above the higher dot on the dipstick. Well this sucks... I guess i will just have to take it to Acura and have to deal with their BS and get her fixed. I hate taking my car to Acura because I never feel that they are honest with me in what is actually wrong with the car, and I always leave feeling cheated. Oh well I'd rather feel cheated than have to drive around a Yellow LS.

Edit: A little off topic where can I get the manual that tells you the different meanings for the codes that can be thrown out for the ITR? I was thinking about purchasing one of those error locators or whatever they are called, but the problem would be is I would have the error number but nothing to match it up against.

The "Helms" manuals have just about everything you'd ever need and seem to be pretty much the official manual for our cars.

Here are a couple links:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=615830

What it looks like (the main/big book).
This one has diagnosis sections and includes the ECU codes as well as how to test the components.

Good luck with finding the problem and getting it fixed.
