Code 21, Vtec solenoid issues.
Directly after i did my transmission swap my vtec solenoid would not work. No CEL, but as soon as i hit high rpm the CEL turns on and no vtec. So, I figured i missed a wire or something when i did the swap. here is what I've checked so far.
1. Coolant sensor, oil pressure sensor, and speed sensor are all working. Car is warmed up enough, and oil pressure is good.
2. there is continuity from the valve wire to the a4 pin on the ecu.(ranges from .5 to 1.5 ohms, is this enough?)
3. the car is correctly grounded (.5 ohms from battery to ground points)
4. wire off of valve reads 15v when multimeter is grounded. Solenoid clicks if power is given to it. (screen is also clean)
5. When the car is in the ACC position the wire to the valve does not read any voltage with the multimeter grounded. Should it be putting out power when vtec isn't engaged?
6. I have reset the ecu multiple times.
Is my ecu bad? What else could it be?
Any help would be appreciated.

i also just redid that wire completely and no change

I can't imagine your ECU would suddenly go bad with a tranny swap.
I'd try to find a flow chart for CODE 21. Maybe in a Helms manual? There are some sites you can find them online.

I followed the entire flow chart and even did some extra tests....according to the flowchart the next step is to try a known working ecu to see if that is the problem.
I've had the same issue too and it was a bad solder on a chipped ECU. Do you have a friend with an ECU you can use? Where do you stay at?
