My maintenance light flashes 10 times after i start my 96 GSR. I adjusted my valves yesterday and no wthis code started flashing this morning. The car runs great but I'm getting this code. The code is for the intake air tempreture sensor. Anybody know anything about this? where is it located? how to fix? what to look for?

you need to reset the light. on the right side of the steering wheel under the dash you will feel a square button. turn the key to on position while holding the button and wait for it to go off until you release. this will reset it.

 

thanks! it worked as you said. I'm resetting the ECU by disconnecting the Battery for 10minutes to clear the memory too.

By the way. I can't hear the VTEC at 4400 kick in. I can hear the vaguest increase in valvetrain noise but thats it. My car has an AEM CAI and thats it. Should I be able to here the VTEC change over more profoundly? I've only owned this car for 2 months so I don't know alot of the unique things about this engine.

The ECU only needs to loose power for 10 seconds to reset. You can do this by pulling the "BACK UP" fuse in the underhood box for 10 seconds then popping it back in. After you pull the fuse turn on the car and let it idle until it reaches operating temp.
