Default SRS code retrieval?

Searched...

Bought the car with the SRS light on. I just tried reseting in. Seems to have gone well, the SRS lioght blinked twice the last time i pulled out the jumper, but then when I turn on the car the light is still on. its a 97 integra. Maybe i should check the code to see what it is, how do I do that? Do i need a scan tool?

yeah.. you would need to take it to honda to have the code scanned... you can just blink out the code, as well, and that will tell you what the issue is..

I have actually been seeing this happen alot.. people will got to reset it on the 97+ tegs, and it never shuts off.. idunno.. lol

have you hit up google?

Ya I had the same code and it was my srs cable reel behind the steering wheel, make sure you eliminate the airbags because if someone swapped out the airbags youll never get it to reset, make sure all your part numbers match heres a good website type in your vin number.

electrical problem, the cable reel has an electical cable in it and sometime they get worn out or chaffed from the turning of the steering wheel or improper install..
