Default cleaning engine parts ?

what is the proper way of cleaning an auto part from oil dirt and buildup. im trying to clean an old turbo out but i dont wanna use water to rinse off the cleaning solution(whatever that may be). it might rust the insides, right?

Use a solvent tank and/or brake cleaner

Simple green also works really well as others, plus it is safe. Attach a hair dryer to the turbo and let it dry from the in side.

I dont think a solvent tank would be too good for the seals inside it. Try something less powerful first. Simple green works OK, but that castrol cleaner stuff works great.

if its such an old turbo that it needs cleaned badly, i'm sure he's not too worried about the seals.
