Civic VX ecu chippable??
Yes, they can be chipped... do a search HAHAHA..... Look for eg6ajk on this board he sells the chip for like $40 all you have to do is remove the old chip and solder the new one in.

uhh..not ALL VX ECU's work right when reprogrammed. Supposedly there's 2 types of VX ECU's, I've only come across one (forgot the motherboards part number) and I've tested it out numerous times and it runs really funky. Check light goes on and off at weird times, the fuel pump stays on when the ignition is turned onto the second click (usually you can hear the fuel pump kick on, then kick off) well it doesn't with the VX ECU, it constantly stays on...weird..
Then there's the other type of VX ECU that is actually on the same platform (motherboard) as a P28 ECU....that's the one that's chippable with no problems. I dunno if it's a Canadian only model or what -- but I've yet to come across this VX type....
I'll snap some pics so you can match up your VX ECU to the crappy version, just to see which version of VX ECU you have...
