Default 92 civic vx ecu

i got a 92 vx and for some odd reason they put in a p28. lmao. theres some kinda vtec but its pretty funny. the rpm climb super slow even in 1st and when i hit like 5500 or somthign a instant burst of... i wouldnt say speed but the rpm jumps. but for sure its not running right. is this just the ecu? has anyone else tried a p28 on a vx motor? what ecu goes with the vx?

btw i bought this for $850 from some mexicans. haha

Its just plain not the right ECU, fuel and timing maps are different, the D15Z1 in the VX is a Vtec-e engine, its not normal vtec and its designed for fuel economy. The P07 is also setup to use a 5 wire wideband O2 sensor and an EGR valve.

does the engine clock say d15z1? if it does and the head is a z1 head, then yes you need to change the ecu. and ont get on it or rev it out until you. it will break your motor!
