civic d16z6 - struggles to start and poor at low rpm
Right, lookin for some ideas with my Civic EG d16z6 Si. (Well actually UKDM ESi but its the same).
The car runs ok once its going, no misses, decent power. I get good spark across all cylinders, gettin fuel fine, compression tested - within spec, ignition timing spot on. No CELs.
Its a bitch to start from cold. Sometimes it will just crank over for ages and not go. When it does go, it sort of idles really badly at low rpm (about 500) and when you press the gas it hardly does anything. After about 10-20 secs it sort of revs up to stock 850 or whatever and its fine. But sometimes the revs drop really low at idle and the engine sort of wants to stall / die (like if you pull up to stop and press the clutch, or stuff like that). I have checked a bunch of vacuum hoses, cleaned out the eacv and pcv. I not got a clue whats going on. Any help guys?
