Chipped, or not to be chipped
well....what mods do you have done to your car? and what program (re-chipped) ecu are you talking about? What brand? If you don't have much done to your car, I would not suggest getting a program to raise your rev limiter. Because when you accidentally miss a shift while racing or something and rev your engine out to like 10,000, you're not going to be happy.
Other aspects of a chipped ecu include more aggresive fuel maps (better performance, decreased MPG). And more...a little out of it from a rough weekend sorry.

I am currently in the process of putting a B20vtec in and was wondering if i should get it chipped. It will be a stock USDM b20z block, and a stock JDM b16a head, and a GSR tranny.
Forget it. No chip burner out there is gonna have a map for your set up. It could even damage your motor. Your best bet is something like a VAFC or a real deal standalone and dyno time. Check out the Turbo magazine that is out right now.
