Default How does REDLINE in a DOHC VTEC work?

I've got this B16a JDM motor and the stock 90 si ecu has been reprog. by BULLFROG and it's suppose to have no rev limiter but redline at 9,500k? The guy also said I can safely take the motor up to 9k but the motor is still stock except for MSD intake and headers. Will taking it pass the 8200k redline damage the motor and will I still be making power? I dont' want to take the risk so I wanted to ask some experts first. Thanks guys!

dont go over 8300. 1) there is no power 2) your valvetrain wont take it 3)youll break your motor eventually.

for reals?! thanks a lot, you guys saved my motor. What's it going to take to take it above stock redline? Does that mean I should get the MSD6AL and set the rev limit to 8300?
