Default CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON

i was driving and my chk engine lite went on. i did a visual check of all my wires, fluids and important stuff that might have gotten lose but everything is fine. i disconnected my battery for a while and still it came on then i took out the ECU fuse for a while and it still came on. any ideas or better yet. anybody have a trustworthy mechanic i can use or borrow to see whats wrong? in the west LA area near UCLA

You need to pull the code to see what is wrong. For your 95 integra, there will be a jumper under the glove box with 2 wires. Short these wire together and turn the key on. The check engine light will flash, count the flashes.

Not only is it safe, it's the only way to read the codes. Thats the entire purpose of those wires.

i tried to check but i didnt see those wires. i guess its jst too dark. but just incase its located jusst behind the glove box?

yes, two pin harness, you should be able to pull it out from underneath the glove box

More like alongside the glovebox. They're in the corner where the glovebox & the kickpanel come together. There's a green rubber holder with 2 blue plastic electrical plugs. One of the blue plugs has 2 wires, other has 3 wires. You want the one with 2 wires. Bend a paperclip & stick the ends into that plug to connect it's 2 wires together.
