im bout to get my car tuned and the check engine light is on but when i pin it to c what code its throwing it turns off and doesnt blink at all... why would i t be doing this?

 

it's code one. The ECU is bad somehow or you are doing the codes incorrectly. if the car starts and doesn't go into limp mode then i'd say you are reading them wrong.

 

it wasnt doin this just a couple of days ago, im not doin it wrong. it started doin it after i tightened down the ground on the tranny and touched the reverse wires( they were exposed) and popped the backup light fuse, i put a new fuse in but that wouldnt have anything to do with why it started throwing a check would it?

 

oh yeah also one of the wires on the resistor box was hooked up wrong and my tuner had tried to tune it like that but i ended up just takin the car home to look over everything again and found the wire was backwards, could it be thowing this check cuz he tuned with the wire backwards and now that its the right way its not reading right or something? can he fix this in the retune? i just dont wanna take it to him again and have another problem..

 

i figured it out! i think the map on the chip in the ecu is causing it to throw the check cuz it was tuned with the wire backwards. it should go away after i retune tomorrow i hope.
