CFK, crankshaft fluctuation sensor code 54, help to diagnose
I have about 900 miles on the newly built motor, about 2 days ago, my CEL came on, it was a code 54, Crankshaft fluctuation sensor, I checked the wiring, no, open wires, disconnect and reconnect the harness....reset the CEl, and let it idle, did not came on...
all I did during the rebuilding was disconnect it, kept it away, then reconenct it back in, didn;t messed with it or anything ? and I never have this problem before the rebuild..
any ideas where to look, is the actual magnetic key that read the pulsation of the crank itself damage when I took it off the block ?

if you get that code, replace the sensor. i have had this happen before for no
apparent reason. replaced the sensor and problem never came back.
apparent reason. replaced the sensor and problem never came back.
convert to obd-1 then no need to for cfs, i was throwing it when i put a obd2 ecu on my obd1 engine, being i have an obd2 car! good luck, eric
