not sure if this is the right forum for this... but are carbon fiber hoods repairable?? like say for instance a hood was dropped on the edge and the carbon was peeling up... is there a way to fix it?? i'll be painting it, so the carbon doesn't have to look pretty.

 

My friend has one that needs repair. His is broken at the hood latch. I thought maybe a body shop that works with fiberglass or a boat shop that repairs fiberglass boats may be able to help.

you can fix them if you sand the clear around the problem and have the resin they use on them then sand it down again clear it again or if you are just gonna paint over it you can never go wrong with some bondo it would be much cheaper and easier
