catch can
after removing a couple intake manifolds from several sohc engines.... i decided i should get myself an oil catch can. just looking into a manifold is like whoa!!! another thing, i removed my a/c so this is where i got my idea. the lil can thats mounted in front of the drivers side tire with the pipes....... i cut it open and removed the material inside. i used the stock piping that was on it and cut em like 3 inches long.... i got the can welded back together for $5 and got the hose and 4 lil clamps for $9. so in total $14. here are the pics of my supplies. will be installed today. and pics will be posted later as well.

Nice diy, but dont use that clear hose, when it heats up it will collapse under vaccume. I know this first hand. One more thing, what did you bafffel it with and where is the drain? Funny, i mounted my moroso can in the original location of where your can came from
I used aircraft fuel line.

If you look close you can see my drain sticking down on the right hand side in front of the radius rod(the brass looking thing)

it was welded shut before i baffled it. did more research afterwards
and theres no drain yet.... imma drill a hole and put a valve......
installed it a while ago. no oil in hte clear hoses yet.... i will see how the hoses hold out... i put some thermo-wrap on a section that was near the radiator hose....... will post pics tomorrow.

So ummm, I was a autozone the other day... picked up a fuel filter. Plastic. Cup shaped. Intlet/outlet on top. Put it inline between manifold and valvecover... Car hasn't exploded yet. This is purely experimental. $1.99...

where did you find that clear hose at?
