Default Ceramic coating: before and after pics...

***FINISHED PICS POSTED, SCROLL DOWN***

I just picked up my ramhorn manifold today for my SOHC, after having it ceramic coated. Here's what it looked like before (ugh ):

And here's how I got it back today...I just started taking some steel wool to it to bring out the shine:

I will take pictures later tonight when it's fully cleaned up

It was pretty damn cheap to have coated, PM me if you live in the Twin Cities and are interested in getting your manifold coated

No it's some extra crap that's on it from baking, the guy didn't have a chance to take it off with steel wool before I picked it up.

I have a lot of cleaning to do on it and I just started, so I'll post some more pics later

It's no Full-Race manifold, but it was $250 so WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CARES?!!?!?

Ask Boon (Kabaroo) about who did the welding, I believe it was speed-factor.com. As far as the coating, Boost Factory did it, and they did a good job IMO. The reason it looks shitty is mainly because of the white powder that's still on it. I'm going to finish cleaning it up tonight like I said

For my next setup I'm going with a TIG welded manifold

I don't care WHAT that company says...

as far as the welds on the manifold themsef- I'm concerned about the welding "choking" the runners, with large welds restricting the inner runners.

Ask Pat and the RDR guys

Here are some finished pictures of the manifold, I got all the white crap off of it and it doesn't look bad for how cheap the setup is...

Sorry it's not $1,200 Full-Race quality, but it'll make 350whp just fine on my SC50, and that's what matters

way to stick up for your mani fnan!

For HT's concerns it was my manifold before... I got it made by some hack. I tried to search for the post he made here, but i could find nothing... I believe his HT screen name was Speed Factor. Also HT member "Platinum00" has a mani made by the same guy... I got the one made just before him and somehow his turned out great and mine leaked all over.

As for the welding. the mani was welded up, IDK if it was mig'ed the1st time but the welds had no rust. Upon installation i realized that the mani leaked all over. I lost count at about 40 leaks on the welds So last minute i had to bring it to a metal shop and have them go over all the welds so it wouldnt leak! I had to get tuned later that week so sending it back to speed-factor was not an option.

Bash away

whoah, the splatter is gone in between the runners . I take it back, I thought that was residue from the flux on the filler material.

I highly doubt pat welded that
