Built B16a with Skunk stage 2 valvetrain. Everything runs fine until VTEC engages at 6000. Engine stutters/misses. VTEC solenoid IS engaging. Oil pressure is 80 before and during VTEC activation. If I disconnect the solenoid, the engine revs fine past the VTEC point.
Could there be something wrong with the cam followers?
Thanks!

Have an AEM FPR set at 38 psi. Running a Hondata stage 4b with stock B16a program.

Here is some more testing info...
Injectors are stock. I have a set of 440s - should I used these instead? I played with the FPR and had to lower it to almost 15 before most of the stuttering stopped! This affects the low cam now and the engine is running rather lean. I also tried up to 60 but no luck.
On my Hondata, I altered the VTEC fuel table for the high lobe by subtracting 40% and it crosses over much better but it's not perfect. Also, when VTEC engages, it it very sluggish.
I'm wondering if I should just go back to the type r cams which ran fine!
Any more troubleshooting tips are greatly appreciated!

ROMEO!!!!!
You were right dude...I set VTEC to 6500 and lowered my FPR to 20 and WOW! These cams are the ****.
I'm going to set VTEC to 7k since this is where they start pulling HARD.
Thanks!
