Default car lags while driving

like the post says! while im cruising on the freeway i feel my car lag then jumps back! i know this cause i can feel it really bad especially in low rpm like 3000-4000.
i thought it was spark plugs but i changed them and it still does it. whatelse could it be? I have a b16 in a hatch.

when you feel it lag does the RPM needle jump up and down at the same time. if so it could be the ignitor........

no it doesnt. i tried looking at the rpm to see if it jumps but its consistant. You can only feel it and sometimes its really bad especially when you speed up!
